Admissions Criteria

     The following information is a download from the SCYFIS (State Children, Youth & Family Information System) system that maintains a listing of the intensity level and the admissions criteria for the Mansion at Focus Point group homes and other residential programs in the State of Maryland.

     The document below is a detailed listing of the admissions criteria and other details for one of our five group homes. Each group home has a capacity of 8 for a total capacity of 40. We have included only one because the admissions criteria of the other five are identical. The broad admission criteria with regards to capacity, age and sex for our Maryland group homes are as followings:

Collaboration on School Admissions

     To the degree permitted by privacy laws, group homes often recieve more applications then their number of beds permit. In such instances, and with the permission of the particular youth's caseworker, Consortium members will be contacted to determine suitable placements and the availability of vacanies. This approach will result in expedited and more appropriate placement of residents in group homes.
