Ford Johnson
President

      Ford Johnson, the president of Koba, has more than 25 years experience in the conceptualization, design and implementation of policy, management-related research, and demonstration projects for public and private sector clients in the United States and abroad.

      More recently, he has overseen the transition of Koba’s program activities to a specialization in residential and educational services to emotionally needy children in Maryland and the Washington metropolitan area. He has received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Harvard Law School, and has extensive, decades-spanning experience in the areas of health systems, education, and residential care.

      A lifetime entrepreneur, Mr. Johnson has founded and organized several corporations, including firms specializing in soft goods manufacturing, real estate, computer analysis, and publishing. He has also authored and co-authored over fifty major reports and published two books.

Mary Johnson
Human Resources Director

      Mary Johnson manages all of the human resources functions for Koba. Prior to coming to Koba, she has earned a degree and pursued graduate studies in Urban and Regional Planning, and has participated in the development of Washington, DC's Comprehensive Emergency Preparedness Plan for submission to the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

      At Koba, her duties include the development of policy handbooks, procedures, and other requirements necessary maintain the smooth operations of our facilities and staff. She personally interviews and recommends all senior hires, and approves all personnel actions, including hires, fires, promotions, and raises. Ms. Johnson also serves as the Chairman of Koba Institute's Board of Trustees.

Adam Sharif
Director of Finance

      Adam Sharif oversees all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable for Koba Institute. He also doubles as Koba's IT Systems Manager. His duties include invoicing, payroll, and computer management.
